Many times whilst travelling around in our camper trailer we have been envious of the grey & not so grey nomads in their caravans who could start packing up before sun up, find a place to eat lunch away from flies (inside), had a minimal set up when arriving and on a cold/rainy/windy day had somewhere to hide that wasn’t their bed. Well we have finally taken the plunge and bought a Jayco Starcraft 17.58-3 Outback and after a very long wait have a very nice van in our front yard.
Here’s the layout:
During our pick up at Brisbane Camperland
We took it up to Mudjimba for a quick overnighter to see that everything opens and shuts. It was pretty aweful weather and it was very nice not having to worry about the rain on pack up day.
Now the planning begins for a loger trip. Options so far are Karumba, Nomanton & Lawn Hill with some firends next year or otherwise head west to Innamincka and try Cameron’s Corner. Can’t wait!!
