I had a couple of weeks off over Christmas/New Year so we thought we would try one of the camp sites around the Border Ranges. We drove up the Lions Road to Sheepstation Creek campground in some pretty heavy rain and managed to set up the camper in a break between showers.
Campground was best suited to back packer vans and we managed to jag about the only spot we could have actually fit in although I was worried what more rain might do to the little creek flowing past.
It dried out a little the next day so we did a walk down to the creek.
Came across these guys having an argument in the tree on the way back. One of them climbed down in front of us and stormed off in a huff.
Also went for a drive up to The Pinnacles. Fantastic view.
After a lot of rain the night before and with more forecast we took the opportunity to pack up the canvas dry and head for home. Only a short trip away this time.
